Amena Art Gallery Grand Opening was a hit with locals and visiting guest

Even with a few setbacks Amena Art Gallery & Shop grand opening was a hit with the local community and visiting guest to Fredericksburg, Virginia.

 

Starting about 6pm on First Friday August 2nd and lasting until Sunday August 4th guest were excited to come in and see the new place that now occupies 810 Caroline Street in Downtown Fredericksburg, Virginia.

 

Many guest enjoyed the food, from Benny’s Pizza a longtime downtown landmark, took in the gallery wall featured the larger sized artwork from the artist Amena Kay, purchased prints of their favorite artworks, and some even stayed to paint with their loved ones.

 

Despite not having much inventory to sell as many of the other longtime other retail businesses in downtown Fredericksburg, Amena and her business partner, also known as her daughter, Delphine decided to focus the business around the community by offering walk-in painting sessions and guided painting sessions.

 

“This is a wonderful concept.” One visitor remarked, as she was talking about now having a place to come and paint with family without the need to setup a group event.

 

During regular working hours guest can come in and paint a 8 X 8 or 8 X 10 painting with all paint and supplies for them to use in the gallery for the current cost of only $25.

Amena Art Gallery & Shop is fully supported by Amena and ran with the help of her daughter Delphine. In time it will be a full scale family business as her son and younger daughter plan to come in a few hours a week to help out with the business.
